This weekend we went to Des Moines to celebrate Tyler's and Pa's birthdays. We had a blast. Drew got to see his first horse race. He was more interested in the tractors that were on the track then the horses. Then we went to the Iowa State Fair. He had a great time! We saw many animals and also got to pet them. It was hot so we were only able to stand half of a day there.
Drew found the tractors at the fair and had to sit on them.

Daddy...look how big the wheels are!

Drew is now a farmer!

These goats were born the day before this picture. The fair has one building full of "mommy to be" animals. There were pigs, cows, goats, sheep, and chicks born there right in front of our eyes. It was so neat to see!

This calf was four days old.

I was shocked that Tyler got Drew to go down this slide. It was so high. When Drew got to the end he said it wasn't fun because it was scary. It looks like Tyler had fun!

This was the biggest bull in Iowa. It weighed over 3,200 pounds!

This was the second biggest pig. He weighed over 1,000 pounds.

We were actually able to pet him.

This pig won the prize. He was huge. We didn't see him move once.

Drew was amazed by these sheep. I think they smelled.

Drew got to sit on this cow. Once he got on him, he stood up.

Drew is standing at the fence watching the horse races.

Thanks Ma and Pa for a great weekend. We had a lot of fun!
